Scholarship Application

The Orillia & District Construction Association (ODCA) is pleased to award a $1,000 scholarship to one graduating student from a high school in Orillia.

Students must meet the following criteria:

  1. are completing or have a minimum Grade 12 diploma; AND
  2. are enrolled (or enrolling in) a full time post secondary trade program at an accredited undergraduate college/university related to the construction trades; OR
  3. are enrolled (or enrolling in) a professional program at an accredited undergraduate college/university related to the construction industry (such as civil/structural engineering or engineering technology, architecture, etc.)

All applications will be reviewed by the Orillia & District Construction Association  Scholarship Committee.

The selected recipient must provide proof of acceptance or enrollment at a qualifying post secondary institution prior to any funds being released.

Please ensure the following items are included with your application:

  1. Copy of  latest high school transcript
  2. A letter describing your career and education goals.
  3. Letter of support from one of the following:
    1. Teacher
    2. Orillia & District Const. Assoc. Member
    3. Employer
    4. Trade Person
  4. Letter from one of the following:
    1. Relevant institution confirming acceptance in an accredited undergraduate college or university, trade or professional program.
    2. Employer/Sponsor confirming that you have been or will be hired as an apprentice and will be enrolling in an accredited facility in the near future.
    3. Apprenticeship Officer confirming that you have been or will be hired as an apprentice and will be enrolling in an accredited facility in the near future.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Your application must be received or post marked by MAY 31ST.
